UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced today (15 June, Thursday) that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in the upcoming Ram Temple in Ayodhya in January 2024.

Speaking of the grand event, he announced that a grand Deepotsav will be also held later this year, where 21 lakh diyas will be lit in the "Dharmanagri" Ayodhya.

The Ram Mandir's Temple Trust has reportedly invited PM Modi to inaugurate the Ram temple on January 22 next year. However, an official confirmation from the PM Office is still awaited.

He further said that there is no shortage of funds for developing religious places like Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura, and Prayagraj. He acknowledged that the people of the city may face initial difficulties due to the developmental projects, but stressed that it was necessary to achieve the larger goal.

Notably, he also announced that the roads of Ayodhya will be comparable to the ones at Rajpath in Delhi, even as the road along Sugreev Qila leading to Ram Janmabhoomi will be named the Bhakti Path.

CM Yogi Adityanath is on a two-day trip to Ayodhya.
