PM Modi To Visit Maharashtra On Sunday, Set To Roll Out Rs 7,500 Crore Financial Support For Self-Help Groups

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Jalgaon in Maharashtra, and Jodhpur in Rajasthan on Sunday (25 August), where he will engage in several public and official events.

PM in Maharashtra: Focus on Women’s Economic Empowerment

The Prime Minister will begin his day in Jalgaon, where he will attend the Lakhpati Didi Sammelan.

This event, scheduled for 11.15 am, will see PM Modi interacting with "Lakhpati Didis"—a term used for women self-help group member who earn an annual household income of Rs one Lakh (Rs 1,00,000) or more.

During the event, PM Modi will distribute certificates to 11 lakh women who have reached "Lakhpati Didi" status during the third term of NDA government.

Additionally, PM Modi will also release a Rs 2,500 crore Revolving Fund aimed at benefiting 48 lakh members of 4.3 lakh Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across the country.

He will also disburse bank loan of Rs 5,000 crore which will benefit 25.8 lakh members of 2.35 lakh SHGs.


The government has now set a target to make three crore Lakhpati Didis.

PM Modi in Rajasthan

After Jalgaon, the Prime Minister will travel to Jodhpur to participate in the concluding ceremony of the Rajasthan High Court’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Scheduled for 4.30 pm on Sunday (25 August), this event will be held at the High Court Campus, where PM Modi will be the Chief Guest.

As part of the ceremony, PM Modi will also inaugurate the Rajasthan High Court Museum.
