Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Maharshi Valmiki Airport in Ayodhya on Saturday (30 December), unveiling a series of developmental projects that included new trains and the transformation of a railway station.

However, amid the celebratory atmosphere, PM Modi took a moment to address the devotees of Lord Ram, delivering a heartfelt appeal for patience regarding the Ram Temple event scheduled for 22 January.

Expressing his request with folded hands, PM Modi urged devotees not to plan visits to the Ram Temple on 22 January, citing logistical and security reasons.

Acknowledging the widespread eagerness to participate, the Prime Minister empathetically remarked, "You have waited for over 550 years. Wait for some more time."

"Instead light a diya at home on 22 January. Celebrate it as Deepavali," he suggested.

The plea comes as preparations are underway for the consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple, a historic moment that holds deep significance for millions of devotees.
