PM Modi Warns BJP Leaders Against Party-Hopping Ahead Of Bihar Assembly Polls: Report

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued a clear warning to BJP leaders against switching parties before elections and returning afterwards, India Today reported.
Addressing party leaders in Bihar, PM Modi reportedly said, “When elections approach, some people leave for other parties and return after the polls. This diminishes your significance in the party.”
Emphasising patience and loyalty, Modi said, as quoted by India Today, “Patience is the greatest asset in a party. If you have patience, you will earn respect and recognition.”
The Prime Minister urged BJP workers to highlight the success of Operation Sindoor and focus on empowering grassroots workers.
He also called for strengthening booth-level organisation, saying, “Win the booth, win Bihar. Strengthen the booth, because a strong booth will ensure victory.”
He also outlined digital engagement as a key election criterion, noting, “Anyone wanting a ticket must have at least 50,000 followers” and urging all leaders and workers to remain active on social media.
Bihar’s upcoming elections will see a direct contest between the RJD-Congress-Left alliance and the BJP-JD(U) coalition.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who rejoined the NDA last year after breaking from the Mahagathbandhan, remains a central figure in the BJP’s strategy due to his Kurmi voter base, despite earning the nickname 'Paltu Ram' for his frequent political shifts.
