After Prajwal Revanna asserted appearing before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the sexual abuse case, official sources confirmed the booking of a flight from Munich to Bengaluru for the JD(S) MP.

The flight is expected to arrive in the early hours of 31 May as Revanna had said in a video that he would appear before the SIT on 31 May at 10 am and support the investigation.

Revanna is accused of sexually assaulting hundreds of women and fled to Germany on 27 April, a day after voting in his Hassan constituency as the allegations surfaced due to leaked explicit videos.

The SIT is maintaining a vigil at the Bengaluru airport and plans to arrest Revanna as soon as he arrives. Till now, two cases of sexual assault have been registered against him.

His return comes after the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued a show-cause notice against him questioning why his diplomatic passport should not be canceled as the Karnataka government had sought this.

A few days ago, former Prime Minister and Revanna's grandfather, H D Deve Gowda had also asked Revanna to surrender to police. Earlier, Interpol issued a "Blue Corner Notice" to locate Revanna.
