President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Kerala on Tuesday (21 October) evening for a four-day visit packed with religious, cultural, and educational engagements across the State.

The President will reach Thiruvananthapuram on a special Indian Air Force (IAF) flight that will land at the Forward Base Support Unit enclave of the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.

She will be received by Kerala Governor Rajendra Arlekar, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, and Thiruvananthapuram Mayor Arya Rajendran before proceeding to the Raj Bhavan, where she will stay overnight.

On Wednesday (22 October), Murmu will visit the revered Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple for darshan. A convoy of four-wheel-drive vehicles will escort her uphill to the sanctum via the Swamy Ayyappan Road. The visit is expected to draw wide attention, marking the first by a sitting President to the shrine in recent years.

Her itinerary on Thursday (23 October) includes unveiling the bust of former President KR Narayanan and inaugurating the Mahasamadhi Centenary of social reformer Sree Narayana Guru at the Sivagiri Madhom in Varkala.

On Friday (24 October), President Murmu will head to Ernakulam to inaugurate the centenary celebrations of St Teresa’s College before flying back to New Delhi in the evening on a special IAF flight.

In anticipation of her visit, the Kerala Police have intensified security measures. Parking has been prohibited along the Shanghumugham Air Force Station–Raj Bhavan route, and the Thiruvananthapuram City Police have warned residents of temporary traffic restrictions during the President’s movement.
