"Prioritising Manipur Is Duty": RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Says Sangh Was Needlessly Dragged In Lok Sabha Elections

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Monday (10 June) drew attention to the Manipur crisis during his address at Nagpur and urged prioritising it.

"Manipur has been awaiting peace for a year now. It was peaceful for 10 years. It seemed that the old gun culture had ended... But it is still burning in the fire that erupted from a sudden tension. Who will take note of it? It is the duty to prioritise it," Bhagwat said.

The RSS chief urged accepting diversity and respecting others faith. He said, "A belief in non-Indiand faith is that we are right, rest all are wrong. This should be discarded. There is no need of any conversions."

"The outsiders believed that we are right, rest all are wrong. This has to be corrected because this is not spiritual. We have to back the spirituality that exists in these ideologies. We have to think what is Prophet's Islam, what is Jesus Christ's Christianity," he added.

On the recently held Lok Sabha elections, Bhagwat said, "Neither of the sides should lie in elections... Views differ and hence we rely on majority... Needlessly Sangh was dragged into the election discourse."
