In another new addition to the lawless saga of the Khedkar family, the Pune city police have now registered a case against Dilip Khedkar, the father of controversial former IAS trainee Puja Khedkar, for allegedly obstructing the duties of a public servant.

The First Information Report (FIR) was filed at Bundgarden Police Station under sections 186, 504, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). As per a report by The Indian Express, the FIR was based on a complaint lodged by Tehsildar Deepak Akade.

The FIR alleges that Dilip Khedkar exerted pressure on officials at the Pune Collectorate, where Puja Khedkar began her probationary training in June 2024, demanding a specific cabin and additional facilities for his daughter.

Following these allegations, Pune Collector Suhad Diwase submitted a report to the Maharashtra Government regarding the objectionable behaviour of Puja and her father, resulting in Puja's transfer to Washim as a supernumerary assistant collector.

In a related incident, Dilip Khedkar was also named as an accused along with Puja’s mother, Manorama Khedkar, in an FIR filed at Paud Police Station.

This case, related to an alleged threat against farmers in Dhadawali village under Mulshi tehsil on 5 June 2023, led to Manorama’s arrest, although she and her husband were later granted bail by the court.
