Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has revealed during his campaign for the Bihar assembly polls that a road link between Ayodhya and Sitamarhi in Bihar is under construction.

In a speech addressing the people of Sitamarhi, Adityanath said that he congratulates the people of Sitamarhi on the beginning of the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

He gave credit for the initiative to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The road has been named Ram-Janaki Marg.

Describing Sitamarhi as "Ma Janaki ka maika" (the maternal home of Sita), Adityanath said that devotees such as him have a special emotional and spiritual bond with Sitamarhi.

He added that work on the building of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has begun. "Ab to sandeh na idhar hona chahiye, na udhar hona chahiye (there should be no doubt on this side or that)".

He was campaigning in Bihar for the second round of Vidhan Sabha polls. Adityanath said that people must come forward in their own roles in furthering the development of Bihar and stay connected with Ayodhya via the Ram-Janaki Marg.

Adityanath thanked the people of Sitamarhi in helping build and strengthen the emotion towards Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, Ayodhya and the building of the Ram Mandir.
