Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has designated a separate lane exclusively for Ayodhya locals to have a darshan of Ramlalla at the temple.

The arrangement was implemented from Tuesday (16 July) onwards. Many local pilgrims were seen using this separate darshan lane, Jagran reported.

However, this lane is not official yet, but will be so soon as per temple trust officials. Ayodhya locals will have to show ID proof to enter through this lane.

The arrangement for offline and online Darshan Passes is already in place. Sugam pass holders are given entry from D1 gate. The same gate will be used for Ayodhya locals.

Among these seven lanes, one lane is reserved for senior citizens and specially-abled individuals. Discussions to make a monthly pass for regular pilgrims is also going on.

Local pilgrims are being given priority in Ram Mandir darshan in the backdrop of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's allegations that Ayodhya people were not invited to the temple inauguration.

Notably, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lost in the Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency (Ayodhya comes under it). Gandhi has been making such allegations since then.
