Ram Mandir Trust Reports Rs 327-Crore Income In FY 2024-25, Becomes Fourth-Highest Earning Temple

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on Sunday (21 September) said the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya earned Rs 327.07 crore in 2024-25, placing it among the country’s highest-revenue temples, the Hindustan Times reported.

Donations contributed Rs 153 crore, while interest income amounted to Rs 173 crore.

According to the Trust, contributions came from devotees in India and abroad through cash, cheques, RTGS, and online payments. The funds are being used for temple upkeep and charitable initiatives.

Daily footfall averages 70,000-80,000, with weekend and festival crowds often tripling that figure.

For the current financial year (April-August 2025), the temple has earned Rs 104.96 crore. Of this, Rs 31.22 crore came from donations, including Rs 20.86 crore from Ram Lalla’s hundi, Rs 6.20 crore from counters, and Rs 3.79 crore online.

Interest income stood at Rs 73.74 crore, while foreign contributions dipped to Rs 10 lakh during the five months.

The Trust noted that income has grown steadily alongside progress on the temple’s construction. It ranked the Mandir fourth among India’s richest shrines by annual receipts.

Saints and dignitaries from across India will be invited, and flags will also be raised at other temples within the Ram Janmabhoomi complex.

The main event on 25 November will feature a flag being hoisted on a 42-foot pole atop the temple’s 161-foot spire.

The Ram Mandir in Ayodhya stands as one of India’s most significant spiritual landmarks, symbolising centuries of devotion and cultural heritage.

Built at the site the birthplace of Lord Ram, the grand temple was inaugurated in January 2024 after years of planning and construction.
