Sheikh Hasina Lands At Ghaziabad After Fleeing From Bangladesh, No Official Statement Yet

Sheikh Hasina had to flee from Bangladesh after resigning from the post of the country's Prime Minister due to uncontrollable violence.

Earlier, she was reported to have reached Tripura's Agartala in a Bangladesh Air Force chopper. Now, she has reportedly landed at Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

She travelled in a C-130 transport aircraft, which has now been parked near the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) C-17 and C-130J Super Hercules aircraft hangars

"The aircraft movement was monitored by Indian Air Force and security agencies from its entry into Indian airspace to Hindon airbase in Ghaziabad," the IAF sourced told ANI.

Asserting that there is no need of curfew or any emergency in the country, Zaman urged citizens to stop violence and requested students to stay calm and go back home.

In the view of law and order situation in Bangladesh, the Border Security Force (BSF) has issued a high alert along the India-Bangladesh border.

Amid these developments, thousands of protesters entered Sheikh Hasina's official residence, Gono Bhaban in Dhaka. Some protesters also defaced a statue of Bangladesh founder and Hasina's father Mujib-ur-Rahman.
