Siemens To Equip Nagpur Metro Phase 2 With Advanced CBTC And Telecom Tech Under Rs 773 Crore Project

Siemens has received two orders worth around Rs 773 crore from Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MAHA-METRO) to supply advanced signalling and telecommunication systems for the Nagpur Metro Rail Project, reported NDTV.

According to the company's statement, the total time frame for project execution is approximately 42 months.

The company will design, manufacture, supply, install, test, and commission a Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling technology and advanced telecommunication systems for Nagpur Metro Rail Project Phase 2, (with augmentation of Phase 1).

Siemens claims its technologies will deliver 100 per cent punctuality, energy savings, and optimised headways while ensuring robust safety across the entire metro network.
