An audio tape has been leaked purportedly of Dr Sudhir Gupta, head of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)'s Forensic Head, in which he has claimed that actor Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR) was 'murdered', it has been reported.

The leaked tape has fumed the controversy over the authenticity of the report by AIIMS Forensic Medical Board that ruled out the murder angle and said the late actor had died by suicide.

According to Times Now, Dr Gupta, in the leaked audio tape, is saying that Sushant was murdered and had not died by suicide. Reportedly the statement is from the time when he had first seen the pictures of the actor's body and the crime scene. The tape is of a conversation between Dr Gupta and Sushant's family lawyer Vikas Singh.

"We have concluded our conclusive report. It is a case of hanging and death by suicide. There were no injuries over the body other than hanging. There were no marks of struggle/ scuffle in the body and clothes of the deceased."

Sushant's family has now demanded a fresh forensic investigation by a new panel.

The actor, who originally hailed from Bihar, was found dead at his Mumbai apartment on 14 June.

"Highly perturbed with AIIMS report. Going to request CBI Director to constitute a fresh Forensic team . How could AIIMS team give a conclusive report in the absence of the body, that too on such shoddy post mortem done by Cooper hospital wherein time of death also not mentioned," he wrote in a Twitter post.
