While four arrested people have confessed to the paper leak before the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam, Bihar leaders are exchanging barbs over the connection of the accused.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has alleged that Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav's aide Pritam Kumar is linked to one of the arrested accused Sikandar Prasad Yadavendu.
He claimed, "On 1 May, Tejashwi Yadav's personal secretary (PS) Pritam Kumar called guesthouse worker Pradip Kumar to book a room for Sikander Kumar Yadavendu but no action was taken that time."
"Then again on May 4, Pritam Kumar called Pradip Kumar to book the room in the NHAI guesthouse... The word 'mantri' was used for Tejashwi Yadav," Sinha said sharing call details for both days.
Sinha urged Tejashwi Yadav to clarify whether Pritam Kumar is still his PS and also reveal who is Sikander Kumar Yadavendu alleging that Yadavendu used to be at Lalu Prasad Yadav's service when Lalu was in jail in Ranchi.
"Who brought him to the urban development department? Who made him in charge of Danapur and several place? How he had a monopoly over Tejashwi and Lalu Yadav's domestic and external matters?" Sinha questioned.
He asserted that the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) and Bihar Police is investigating the matter and demanded a thorough investigation into Anurag Yadav, an NEET aspirant who stayed in the room booked for Yadavendu.
"They play with the future of the people. They do scams when they are in power and they try to influence the appointment process when out of power," Sinha lashed out at the RJD.
