The Uttar Pradesh government has announced the cancellation of the UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination-2023 due to reports of paper leaks.

As reported by India TV, the government has directed for a re-examination to be conducted within the next six months.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also emphasised that stringent action will be taken against those responsible for compromising the hard work of the youth and the integrity of the examination.

In a social media post on X, he said, "Orders have been given to cancel the examination-2023 conducted for selection to the posts of Reserve Civil Police and to conduct re-examination within the next 06 months."

Furthermore, the UP government has initiated an inquiry into the alleged irregularities and malpractices in the examination for Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO), not only at the paper level but also at the government level.

The order said that, "Candidates have been encouraged to lodge complaints at @secyappoint@nic.in until 27th February."

Prior to this, the Police Recruitment Board had already launched an investigation into the suspected malpractices in the constable recruitment examination.
