A day after Tamil film actor Vijay took a stance opposing the NEET exam and used the term 'Ondriya Arasu' to refer to the central government, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tamil Nadu state president, K Annamalai, stated that Vijay going the DMK route was helpful to his party.

"With all parties here against NEET and using terms like 'Ondriya Arasu', we would be the ones who stand out," he said.

(BJP members and supporters oppose the use of Ondriya Arasu as they feel the term is to be used to describe a 'block level panchayat.')

"The numbers will tell you the real story," he said.
