The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has formally selected Design Associates Incorporation to develop the infrastructure for a 206-acre Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) in Sector 10.
The project, under the central government's EMC 2.0 scheme, is budgeted at Rs 485 crore and slated for completion by 31 January 2028, The Times of India reported.
Financing is structured with Rs 144.5 crore coming from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and Rs 341 crore borne by YEIDA.
The cluster will include 122 acres of saleable industrial plots—106 acres distributed across various industrial plots, as well as 16 acres earmarked for ready-built factory sheds and a flatted factory complex.
Commercial operations are expected to commence by 2026, generating around 1,000 jobs in the first phase.
Additional Letters of Intent (LoIs) have been issued to firms like Dixon Technologies (22.5 acres), Ascent-K Circuit (16 acres), Aurionpro ToshiAutomatic Systems (5 acres), and Neenjas Electric (10,000 sqm), pending state approval.
YEIDA envisions the EMC to catalyse electronics manufacturing in northern India by building an investment-friendly ecosystem and positioning the region as a key electronics production hub.
