Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday (22 August) declared that the state government will provide 2 lakh jobs to youth over the next two years.

During a district-level employment and loan fair in Muzaffarnagar, Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to more than 5,000 youths.

The event, attended by over 50 prominent companies, represents a crucial effort to tackle unemployment in the western UP region.

Chief Minister Yogi also distributed loans exceeding Rs 30 crore to selected beneficiaries and MSME entrepreneurs, with an aim to empower them to grow their businesses and bolster the local economy.

To further assist the younger generation, the Chief Minister distributed tablets and smartphones to over 1,000 youths under the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana.

Yogi Adityanath issued a stern warning to those planning to leak exam papers, stating that anyone who jeopardises the future of the youth will face imprisonment and have their assets confiscated and redistributed to the poor.

The Chief Minister further announced that Rozgar Melas will be held every three months across Uttar Pradesh.

Yogi Adityanath highlighted that unlike in the past when youth from western UP were excluded from job opportunities, young men and women from the region are now securing positions.

Reflecting on Muzaffarnagar’s transformation from a place marred by riots a decade ago to a now peaceful region that hosts the Kanwar yatra with great enthusiasm, Chief Minister Yogi noted that the area’s new identity is being shaped by development, security, youth employment and government jobs.
