Yogi Adityanath Government Invokes Gangsters Act Against Mastermind Of Various Paper Leaks In Uttar Pradesh

In a strict action against the exam paper leaks in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath government has slapped the Gangsters act against nearly two dozens accused in various paper leaks in the state.
The Gangsters act has been invoked against Rajiv Nayan Mishra alias Rahul Kumar Mishra, the mastermind of paper leaks in various competitive exams in UP, and 22 of his accomplices by the Kaushambi police
According to Kaushambi superintendent of police Brijesh Kumar Srivastava, Mishra, hailing from Amaura village, was operating an inter-state racket that leaked question papers of several competitive exams.
SP Srivastava stated that Mishra and his main accomplices amassed illegal wealth through their activities, and the police plan to seize their properties under the Gangsters Act.
"In Feb this year, Kaushambi Police had busted a racket involved in paper leak case in Manjhanpur, wherein gang members charged hefty amounts from students and their guardians on pretext of leaking competitive exam papers," the SP said, Times of India reported.
Mishra was also identified as the mastermind behind the recent RO\ARO paper leak on 11 February, which caused a significant uproar in Uttar Pradesh.
The Manjhanpur Police in Kaushambi district had filed an FIR against the gang members and later submitted a chargesheet against all involved.
The Prayagraj Police had also filed an FIR against the racket's kingpin and others under appropriate sections.
According to the police, this same group was also involved in the paper leak of teachers' eligibility test in 2021, following which a case under appropriate sections of law was registered with Kokhraj police station.
