Amid Speculations Over Kejriwal's Arrest In Liquor Policy Case, Delhi LG Orders CBI Probe Into 'Fake' Tests Prescribed By Mohalla Clinics

Lt. Governor V K Saxena has instructed a CBI investigation into allegations of fake diagnostic tests prescribed by Delhi government-run mohalla clinics to favour private labs, according to sources from Raj Niwas on Thursday (4 January).
This decision follows another Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe initiated by Saxena into the alleged supply of substandard drugs to Delhi government hospitals.
As reported by Economic Times, the investigation stems from revelations last year that doctors were marked as present at mohalla clinics despite their absence.
Further scrutiny revealed that tests and medicines were being prescribed even when doctors were not on-site.
The subsequent discovery that tests were conducted on non-existent patients prompted the Lt. Governor to order a CBI probe into the matter.
However, there has been no immediate response from the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) .
This comes amid the recent developments where AAP leaders have raised concerns about Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal facing potential arrest.
Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had issued multiple notices to Kejriwal, who refused to appear for questioning regarding the Delhi liquor policy case.
In anticipation of the ED's actions, Delhi police have reportedly barricaded the roads leading to Kejriwal's residence.
This marks the third notice served to Kejriwal, the AAP's national convenor, after he declined to appear before the ED on two previous summons.
The situation continues to unfold, with heightened political tension surrounding the Chief Minister's refusal to cooperate with the ED.
