Bengaluru Cafe Blast Case: Here's How The Suspect Moved Before And After Explosion, CCTV Trail Reveals
The Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru was subject to an IED attack on Friday (1 March).
The investigation into the 1 March bomb blast at The Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru's Whitefield area has taken a significant turn as CCTV footage provides crucial insights into the suspect's movements.
The suspect's actions, captured on CCTV cameras, detail his arrival at a nearby bus stop around 10:45 am, entry into the cafe at 11:34 am, and departure at 11:43 am.
He then proceeded to a bus stop over a kilometre away for his escape using public transportation.
Also, during his escape, the suspect made multiple stopovers, including at a Muslim religious centre a few kilometers from the blast site.
Notably, a baseball cap worn by the suspect at the cafe was discovered at one of these stopovers, where he changed his attire.

It's noteworthy that the triggering mechanism, similar to devices found in previous terror incidents linked to the Islamic State, involved a digital timer connected to a printed circuit.
The probe revealed that the improvised explosive device (IED) was kept in a tiffin box bag, and was wrapped in fibrous material.
The IED contained a mixture of easily available explosives — sulphur and potassium nitrate.
Investigators are also examining the possibility that the suspect may have feigned phone usage during his time at the cafe, there are doubts on whether the suspect was actually using a cell phone or merely pretending in order to camouflage his presence.
While cell tower data analysis is underway, doubts persist regarding the authenticity of the suspect's phone activity.
