Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe Blast Case: NIA Raids Multiple Locations In Chennai To Nab Suspects

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out raids across multiple locations in Chennai in connection with the probe into the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe blast.
The raids were launched by the central anti-terror agency following intelligence input that two suspects of the 1 March blast have stayed in Chennai, India Today reported.
The NIA has identified the primary suspect but he has not been traced yet.
The accused, wearing a cap and mask, placed a low-intensity bomb kept in a backpack that went off, injuring at least ten people at the Bengaluru's popular cafe.
Ten people were injured in the low intensity blast at the cafe in Bengaluru on 1 March.
The explosion was carried out by triggering an IED bomb using a timer.
On 23 March, the NIA identified Mussavir Hussain Shazib from Shivamogga in Karnataka's Thirthahalli district as the key suspect.
The investigation involved reviewing footage from over 1,000 CCTV cameras to pinpoint the main accused.
Officials have suggested that the blast might be linked to the Shivamogga ISIS module, with 11 individuals from this group reportedly radicalised in Tirthahalli, Karnataka, and later expanding their network in South India.
The NIA has announced a Rs 10 lakh reward for information leading to the bomber's arrest and has also released CCTV images and videos of the suspect.
