Bihar: BJP's Doors Closed For Nitish Kumar Amid Potential JDU Split, Says Sushil Modi

Days after Ajit Pawar's sensational revolt in Maharashtra, Sushil Modi of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has claimed that a similar situation is brewing in Bihar.
According to Modi, several MPs and MLAs of the Janata Dal-United (JDU) are in talks with the BJP, indicating that Nitish Kumar's party is on the verge of a split.
Modi stated, "The JDU is facing prospects of a split in the party. Anything is possible in the coming days," suggesting that the JDU is currently dealing with internal issues that may lead to a significant division within the party.
Regarding the JDU rebels, Modi mentioned that the BJP has not yet decided whether they will accept them into their party.
"That depends on many factors," he added, implying that certain conditions need to be met for the rebels to be welcomed into the BJP.
However, Modi made it clear that Nitish Kumar, the leader of JDU, will not be welcomed by the BJP. This indicates that the BJP's doors are closed for Kumar, suggesting a lack of willingness to collaborate with him again.
According to the former deputy chief minister, the JDU members are dissatisfied with Nitish Kumar's betrayal of the BJP.
Modi said, "They see their future and that of the party's in dark since Nitish Kumar announced Tejashwi Yadav his successor. They know they are not going to get ticket in the next election."
He further added, "Last year JDU got 17 seats. In today's situation, there is no scope for JDU to get more than 8-10 seats. Everyone is seeing their future in darkness. So there is a situation of panic. MPs and MLAs are contacting other parties. There is a stampede-like situation."
Sushil Modi pointed out that Nitish Kumar has been holding "one-to-one" meetings with JDU MPs and MLAs following Ajit Pawar's defection.
Modi believes that the Chief Minister is meeting with them out of fear that they might switch to other parties. The JDU has dismissed Sushil Modi's claims as propaganda by the BJP.
Nitish Kumar's close aide and the party's national president, Lalan Singh, stated that Sushil Modi should not live in a fool's paradise as the JDU remains united.
