Bureaucrats Work On '100-Day Action Plan' On PM Modi's Direction, To Be Finalised By May: Here's What's On The Agenda

Amidst the ongoing election fervor, top bureaucrats in New Delhi are crafting a comprehensive '100-day Action Plan' for the incoming government, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's directive on 3 March.
As per reports by News18, all secretaries across the government have been organised into 10 sectoral groups to work on the plan's "six building blocks," with presentations underway to finalise the blueprint by the end of May.
As reported, the vision for the first 100 days is aimed at transitioning towards a "citizen-empowered government" characterised by technology adoption, digital empowerment, and the utilisation of Artificial Intelligence.
Identified building blocks include aspects such as macroeconomy, empowered citizens, sustainable economy, technology leadership, effective governance, and India's global role.
Key initiatives in the pipeline include a review of laws under 'Jan Vishwas 2.0' to reduce citizen compliance burdens, operationalising anti-paper leak measures, and digital delivery mechanisms for citizen services.
The plan also entails digitising court cases, launching e-passports, sanctioning projects for the North-east, and enhancing global engagement through new missions and summits.
“The 100-day plan feeds into the 5-year plan, which in turn is all part of the Vision 2047. The Modi government is working on a big pitch,” said a person familiar with the matter.
