Captain Amarinder Singh In Delhi Again, May Meet PM Modi
- Captain Amarinder Singh is once again in Delhi and may meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a few other senior leaders of the BJP.
- Captain also met Congress MP Manish Tewari yesterday (6 October); no information on what was discussed during the meeting has yet been revealed.

Former Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh, who had recently left the Congress party, once again arrived in Delhi on 6 October. Though the meeting is yet to be confirmed officially, it is being speculated that Captain is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a few other senior leaders of the BJP in Delhi.
During his previous visit, he had met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. It was after his Delhi visit, that he had announced to leave the Congress, calling Sidhu a threat to national security. At that time, it was being speculated that he would join the BJP, but Singh had categorically rejected the idea of joining the BJP.
Captain also met Congress MP Manish Tewari yesterday (6 October); no information on what was discussed during the meeting has yet been revealed.
Harish Chaudhary in Chandigarh, eyes on Amrinder
Congress's uneasiness is bound to increase with Captain Amarinder's visit to Delhi. It is being said that about 18 Congress MLAs are in touch with him. Interestingly, the party high command has sent Rajasthan Revenue Minister Harish Chaudhary to Chandigarh to bridge the gap between CM Charanjit Singh Channi and Navjot Singh Sidhu, and decide further strategy for the party.
But sources say that he is eyeing the next step of the Captain, so that he can be countered in time and any further break up in the party could be avoided, reports Dainik Jagran.
Captain likely to form a new party?
There is speculation in the political circles that the Captain will form a separate party of his own. Through this, he can mediate between the centre and the farmers and solve the crisis surrounding the agricultural laws, which he is likely to discuss in his meeting with PM Modi. As per reports, there was also some talk about the formation of Punjab Vikas Party by him, but the Captain has not given any statement on this issue so far.
Even if Captain does not join the BJP, the possibility of an alliance between his new party, if formed, cannot be ruled out.
