Lalu Prasad Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), visited Deoghar in Jharkhand on Monday along with his family.

They offered prayers at the Baba Baidyanath Dham and the Basukinath Dham temples.

Lalu stated that he plans to seek blessings from more deities before launching a "yuddh" (war) alongside the Opposition's INDIA alliance, with his son Tejashwi Yadav.

Lalu mentioned that it had been a while since he last prayed with his wife Rabri Devi and his children, including Tejashwi, who currently serves as the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar.

Lalu Prasad explained, "We will visit more deities, and then we will launch a war and begin our work for the 28-party INDIA alliance that we have formed. The process of selecting candidates will commence."

Despite the Lok Sabha elections being scheduled for next year, preparations have already begun.

Lalu also announced the formation of a coordination committee for the INDIA alliance, with a meeting planned from September 12-14 in New Delhi.

"Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav will attend the meeting on behalf of Bihar. Afterwards, we will campaign in various parts of the state," he added.

Hitting back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the RJD supremo criticised the G20 Summit, which recently concluded after incurring significant expenses, stating that it would not bring any benefits to the common man.

In response to a question about the blessings he sought at the temples, Lalu in his characteristic joking style replied that he prayed to stay away from reporters.

He then mentioned his plans to travel to Patna.
