'From Ram Navami To Hanuman Jayanti...': PM Modi Slams Rajasthan Congress Government Over Attacks On Hindu Festivals

In a scathing critique of the law and order situation in Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took aim at the Ashok Gehlot government during a recent speech in Jodhpur.
As reported by Indian Express, PM said “I want to ask, when Jodhpur was burning during riots, what was the CM doing? When there was violence and the innocent people were being killed, what were the Congress leaders doing? Is appeasement Congress’s first and last policy? Ram Navami, Parshuram Jayanti, Hanuman Jayanti – there is no festival in which the news of stone pelting is not received from Rajasthan.”
Modi raised doubts about whether the Congress party's primary policy was appeasement, given the recurring incidents of stone pelting during various festivals.
He lamented the deteriorating state of peace in Jodhpur, a city once known for its tranquility, citing examples of gang wars in broad daylight and a gruesome kidnapping and murder case involving a businessman's son.
The Prime Minister highlighted the statement of a Congress MLA who expressed feeling unsafe, underscoring the dire situation faced by ordinary citizens. He accused the Congress of prioritizing their political interests over the well-being of Rajasthan.
Furthermore, Modi brought up the contentious issue of a red diary purportedly containing evidence of corruption within the state government.
He hinted at the possibility of revealing the dark secrets held within the diary, insinuating that it could contain damaging information related to the Congress party.
Modi also commended the film "The Vaccine War" by Vivek Agnihotri, stating that it instilled pride in every Indian.
He congratulated the filmmakers for their portrayal of the country's scientists and science, emphasizing the film's potential to benefit future generations.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister inaugurated several projects in Jodhpur worth approximately Rs 5,000 crore.
These included a 350-bed Trauma Centre and Critical Care Hospital Block at AIIMS, Jodhpur, 7 Critical Care Blocks under PM-ABHIM, and the development of a New Terminal Building at Jodhpur Airport.
Additionally, he dedicated the IIT Jodhpur campus to the nation, a project completed at a cost exceeding Rs 1,135 crore.
During the rally, the Prime Minister also questioned Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's absence from the government program, speculating that Gehlot might have faith that everything would be resolved upon Modi's arrival.
In a light-hearted manner, he encouraged Gehlot to take a break, assuring him that they would manage things in his absence.
