Haryana's Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala, emphasised the necessity of the alliance between his Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for ensuring stability in the state's government.

His remarks came following BJP leader Birender Singh's threat to leave the party, citing allegations of widespread corruption within the JJP.

Chautala responded to Singh's threat, stating that he has heard such comments before and does not believe they will impact the government's functioning.

Chautala emphasised the importance of the alliance for providing a stable government and empowering weaker sections of society, as per reports by NDTV.

Birender Singh had previously questioned the BJP's alliance with the JJP, asserting that it would not secure votes in the upcoming elections.

The JJP had extended its support to the BJP in 2019 after the BJP fell short of a majority in the assembly polls. However, in recent weeks, both parties have indicated their intent to contest independently in both Lok Sabha and assembly seats.

Chautala also addressed the SYL canal issue and criticised Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for seeking water from Haryana while Punjab refuses to share SYL water.

Chautala mentioned that his party is participating in the Rajasthan elections and has announced 14 candidates so far.

He, along with JJP chief Ajay Singh Chautala, addressed the party's "Nav Sankalp Rally" in the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency.

Ajay Singh Chautala emphasised strengthening the organisation and urged party workers to prepare for the upcoming state assembly polls.

He also discussed the party's commitment to increasing old-age pension and credited the organisation's hard work for the party's growth.
