INDI Alliance Finalises Sharing Arrangement For 11 Seats In Uttar Pradesh? Akhilesh Yadav Says "Off To Good Start" With Congress

While the INDI Alliance is struggling to exist in Bihar and West Bengal, Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav announced a "good start" with Congress on Saturday (27 January).
He posted on X, "Our cordial alliance with Congress is off to a good start with 11 strong seats… This trend will move forward with the winning equation."
While the statement does not clarify how many seats these parties will contest in Uttar Pradesh, it suggests that an agreement has been reached on 11 of the 80 Lok Sabha seats of the state.
Yadav further asserts that team 'I.N.D.I.A.' and 'PDA' strategies will change history. PDA is Yadav's attempt to broaden the party's M-Y (Muslim-Yadav) voter base by including Backward Classes, Dalits and women along with minorities.
Congress MP from Kerala, Shashi Tharoor said, "This whole alliance and seat-sharing is being discussed on a state-by-state basis. No one is going to have a one-size-fits-all solution."
Citing different equations among different political parties, he asserted, "In each state, the story is going to be different. I think we are all focused on the imperative need to change the Union government and that is the ultimate objective."
