ISIS Network Case: NIA Busts 'Highly Radicalised Jihadi Terror Group' In Raids On 19 Locations Across Four States

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at 19 different locations spanning four states in connection with an ISIS network case on Monday (18 December) and busted a "highly radicalised jihadi terror group".
The raids were conducted at eleven sites in Karnataka, four in Jharkhand, three in Maharashtra, and one in Delhi.
The central anti-terror agency conducted raids at more than 40 sites in Maharashtra last week, resulting in 15 arrests.
Over 40 locations in Maharashtra were raided, including areas in Thane, Pune, and Mira Bhayandar.
The majority of these locations were in Thane's rural area (31) and city (9), both of which are located adjacent to Mumbai. Additionally, two raids took place in Pune, and one in Mira Bhayandar.
Among those apprehended was a leader of an ISIS module who was responsible for swearing in new recruits with an oath of allegiance.
In the course of the raids, the NIA seized substantial amounts of undocumented cash, weapons, sharp tools, confidential paperwork, and assorted digital equipment.
According to NIA officials, the suspects were functioning under the guidance of "foreign handlers" within India and had been significantly participating in terrorist actions across the nation. sw
