One of the arrestees, Md Aariz Hussainain from Asanbani area in Godda district, was allegedly using social media platforms to engage with and indoctrinate young individuals. His arrest followed a tip-off, as reported by NDTV.

The second individual, Naseem, was apprehended in the Pelawal area of Hazaribagh after the police discovered suspicious communications between him and Hussainain on his mobile phone.

During interrogation, Hussainain reportedly confessed to having connections with ISIS and other proscribed terrorist groups based in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Additionally, Naseem had sent Hussainain two books related to "jihad" and ISIS ideology.

The ATS is currently conducting further investigations into the matter.

ATS alleged Ariz Hussainain wanted to go Palestine and mount a suicide attack at the Al Aqsa mosque.

"Ariz wanted to go to Palestine and carry out a Fidayeen attack at Majid Al Aqsa to free it from Jews," the ATS was quoted as saying by ANI.
