Vaishno Devi Bhawan (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board)
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha-led Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) administration is considering setting up a mythological theme park near the sacred Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Reasi district of the union territory.
Investors have been called up for the state-of-the-art project that is targeted towards boosting up economic activity and subsequently creating both direct and indirect employment, It is also expected to enhance tourist and citizen experience in the region.
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board along with the administration officials have so far recognised three prospective locations for the park. While two locations are near the shrine, one is situated 10 km away from the Katra bus stand which is approximately 43 km away from Jammu.
The park is set to be established on the way towards the shrine that attracts a footfall of around one crore devotees on an annual basis. The project is being built to provide recreational activities to tourists and followers alike after darshans, reports Financial Express.
Moreover, investors in this project will become eligible to avail several central sector scheme advantages along with other concessions provided by the J&K administration, which includes a valid contract for 25 years with a provision of extension along with a 30 per cent capital investment incentive on investments up to Rs 5 crore.
Furthermore, the union territory-level clearances will be provided within 30 days of the filing of the application whereas water and power will be provided to them at Rs 0.50 per cubic meter and Rs 3.85 per unit respectively.
Additionally, investors are also set to receive other incentives on stamp duty and green industrialization along with a host of other business-friendly stimulants as well.
