News Brief
Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut's father has put a halt to discussions regarding the possibility of the Bollywood actress contesting the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 by accepting the idea. However, according to News18, he mentioned that it is up to the BJP to decide from where Kangana will contest.
Actress's father, Amardeep, asserted that Kangana will contest only on the BJP ticket, but the decision about the constituency will be made by the party leadership. It's noteworthy that just two days ago, Kangana had a meeting with BJP's National President JP Nadda at her home in Kullu.
After the meeting, there was increased speculation about her running in the elections. However, her father has now clarified that Kangana will indeed contest.
Kangana also attended an RSS program last week in Bilaspur, Himachal. She stated that the ideology of the RSS aligns with her own beliefs. It should be mentioned that discussions are ongoing regarding whether Kangana will contest from the Mandi Lok Sabha seat or from Chandigarh.
Kangana Ranaut is originally from the Sarahan village in the Sarkaghat constituency of Mandi district. She also has a house in Manali. Her family now resides in Manali.
A few months ago, Kangana Ranaut had made it clear in a media interaction in Dwarka, Gujarat, that if God is willing, she will definitely contest elections.
