Arsho PM- SFI state general secretary

A list of results showing that Students Federation of India (SFI) state general secretary Arsho PM had passed the third-semester exam of the post-graduate program in Archaeology and Material Studies at Maharaja’s College in Ernakulam has been withdrawn after protests.

The exam was held in Decemeber 2022 and results were declared in March 2023.

Arsho has said that there was no way he could have appeared for the exam as he had been externed from the district due to criminal cases against him. He had been jailed for over 100 days in 2022 and has been charged with attempt to murder.

He said that it could be a technical error and he had no idea as to how did his name appear on the list.

The college principal, VS Joy has said that an investigation will be conducted.

The Kerala Students Union (KSU), which is the student's wing of the Congress has called it an example of how the Left was misusing its power.

Meanwhile, the Kochi police is investigating the case of another SFI member, K Vidya who allegedly forged an experience certificate to apply for the job of a guest lecturer in a government college at Attappadi in Palakkad district.

Vidya who had enrolled in the postgraduate programme in Malayalam was also a student of Maharaja's College.
