During Nitish Kumar's tenure as Chief Minister from 2005 to 2010, Thakur held key ministerial portfolios, including Revenue, Land Reforms, Law, Information, and Public Relations.
Hailing from Karpoori Ganj in Samastipur district, Ramnath Thakur's identity is closely associated with his father, who was a stalwart leader from the Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) community.
As the JDU navigates this pivotal moment, the prospect of Ramnath Thakur taking charge brings forth a potential shift in leadership dynamics.
