Maharashtra: Congress Ally UT Wants To Ride Hindutva Wave After Alleging EC's Silence On Amit Shah's Remark

After the BJP secured victories in three assembly polls, Uddhav Thackeray, the chief of Shiv Sena's Uddhav Bharat Tour (UBT), has criticised the Election Commission (EC) for its alleged inaction against BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Thackeray expressed dissatisfaction over the EC's response to Shah's promise of a free tour to the Ram temple in Ayodhya during a rally in Madhya Pradesh.
Thackeray accused the EC of not taking any action or responding to the UBT Sena's letter on the matter.
Consequently, he announced that in every election, he would raise Hindutva slogans like 'Jai Bhavani Jai Shivaji,' 'Har Har Mahadev,' and 'Ganpati Bappa Morya.'
He asserted that if the EC does not take any action, they would assume that such statements have the EC's approval.
"We had asked the EC if it was a crime to ask for votes in the names of God and religion. Since there has been no reply from the EC, we will assume we can seek votes in the name of God and religion. We will do this openly," said Uddhav Thackeray while inaugurating the newly-renovated Shivalaya office of the UBT Sena at Nariman Point, reported The Times Of India.
He also challenged the BJP to conduct the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections using the traditional ballot paper system.
Thackeray stated, "If you are so inclined, take the Lok Sabha election on ballot paper. There should be no doubt in our minds either."
