Avaada Group is a leading green energy company in India, providing green power solutions from various green energy sources.

In a significant development, Avaada Group has marked the commencement of its green hydrogen project at Gopalpur, Odisha.

The move is poised to generate around 1,600 direct and 4,000 indirect employment opportunities, according to a statement released by the company.

"Foundation stone for Avaada Group's Green Hydrogen project was laid down today by Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik in Gopalpur, Ganjam," the statement said.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik along with stakeholders and representatives from various sectors.

The establishment of a green ammonia storage facility at Gopalpur will facilitate the export of green hydrogen, contributing to the global pursuit of achieving net-zero emissions, particularly in hard-to-abate sectors such as steel, cement, and petrochemicals.

By harnessing renewable energy sources, the initiative aims to produce green ammonia with minimal environmental impact.

Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group, underscored the significance of green ammonia as a clean and renewable alternative across diverse sectors, including agriculture, transportation, and industry.

Avaada Group's portfolio encompasses solar module manufacturing, renewable power generation, and the development of green hydrogen, green methanol, green ammonia, and sustainable aviation fuel projects.

Also, with its renewable power generation arm, Avaada Energy, the group aims to achieve an installed capacity of 11 GW by 2026, solidifying its position in sustainable energy solutions.
