'Nero Played A Fiddle While Rome Burnt': Tamil Nadu BJP Chief Annamalai Slams Stalin For Prioritising INDI Alliance Meeting Over Flood Crisis In The State

AAP convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal meets Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin at Tamil Nadu Bhavan.

In a recent development, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has come under scrutiny for attending an INDI alliance meeting in Delhi while the southern districts of the state grapple with severe floods.

In a scathing critique, the BJP President K Annamalai took to social media, drawing pointed parallels between Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin's actions and the historical phrase "Nero played a fiddle while Rome burnt."

Despite the pressing need for on-the-ground leadership to facilitate flood relief, CM Stalin's presence at a political meeting in Delhi has sparked criticism.

Annamalai also argued that the decision to seek a last-minute appointment with the Prime Minister as a cover to divert people's attention during this visit has further fueled skepticism about the CM's true agenda.

Adding to the controversy, CM Stalin's son, deputed to monitor flood relief efforts, was reportedly accompanied by a film director.

This move has drawn comparisons to a past incident in Maharashtra, where a former CM was criticised for bringing a film producer outside a hotel during a crisis.

As the flood-affected people in southern TN await relief, the absence of focused efforts from the state government has raised concerns.
