NIA Cracks Down On Khalistan-Linked Criminal Network In Raids Across Six States, 51 Locations

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is currently conducting extensive raids in six states, targeting individuals linked to three notorious criminal gangs: Lawrence Bishnoi, Bambiha, and Arshdeep Dalla.
These operations are happening at 51 different locations and have significant implications for national security.
In one operation, NIA agents raided the home of a liquor contractor in Punjab's Moga district, uncovering that Arshdeep Dalla had extorted money from the contractor. The NIA is investigating this matter further.
Simultaneously, the NIA conducted raids at a gun shop in Uttarakhand's Udham Singh Nagar and another residence in Dehradun.
The NIA is also examining the weapons found at the gun shop in collaboration with local law enforcement.
Furthermore, the NIA has released information about 43 individuals associated with a criminal network with links to Canada. They are urging the public to provide information about the properties and assets of these individuals that may be confiscated by the government.
The NIA is also seeking details about the properties, assets, and businesses owned by these individuals, as well as information about their associates and partners.
In addition, the NIA has shared photos and names of gangsters associated with these criminal networks, highlighting that many of them are based in Canada.
The NIA has earlier taken action against Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun by seizing his properties in Chandigarh and Amritsar under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
On 21 September, the NIA, along with Punjab police, conducted raids at over 1,000 locations in Punjab and Haryana connected to fugitive gangster Goldy Brar, who is suspected to be involved in the recent killing of another gangster in Canada.
Many of these fugitive gangsters are believed to be operating from Canada, raising concerns about the connections between Khalistan sympathizers and criminal groups.
India had previously shared a list of Khalistani operatives in Canada with the Canadian Prime Minister in 2018.
