No Relief To Mahua Moitra From Delhi High Court In Defamation Case Against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey And Her "Jilted Ex"

Expelled Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra met another setback on Monday (4 March) when the Delhi High Court refused to restrain BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and Jai Anant Dehadrai from posting allegations against her.
Moitra has filed a defamation case against Supreme Court lawyer Dehadrai Dubey and sought an interim injunction against them. However, Justice Sachin Datta dismissed her application, denying her an interim relief.
The TMC leader also wanted the removal of the allegedly defamatory content posted against her on social media, including photos, videos, letters and publications, but the Delhi High Court didn't help her.
Dubey and Dehadrai, both responded to this judgment on social media and expressed gratitude for the court.
Dehadrai is also known to have given "irrefutable evidence" against Moitra to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The TMC leader had called him a "jilted ex."
Dubey had complained to Lok Sabha about these allegations after which the Ethics Committee heard the matter and decided to expel Moitra from Lok Sabha.
The allegations say that Moitra received bribes from businessman Darshan Hiranandani to target the Adani Group through questions in the Parliament.
Moitra accepted sharing login credentials with the businessman and called it an usual practice. She, however, denied the allegations of receiving bribes.
