Nuh Violence Accused Nabbed By Police In Dramatic Chase

Bittu Bajrangi, a member of the Bajrang Dal and a cow vigilante from Haryana, has been apprehended for his alleged involvement in the recent communal violence that occurred in Nuh, Gurugram, and other parts of the state.

It is alleged that his and fellow Bajrang Dal activist Monu Manesar's inflammatory remarks might have incited the violence.

Bittu Bajrangi, who has been accused in multiple other cases, was captured near his residence in Faridabad almost 20 days after the outbreak of violence.

Surveillance footage from the area showed undercover policemen armed with weapons and sticks pursuing him before finally apprehending him. Bittu Bajrangi has been charged with rioting, violence, making threats, obstructing government officials from performing their duties, and causing harm with a dangerous weapon.

The spokesperson for the Faridabad police stated that efforts are underway to identify Bittu Bajrangi's associates through available videos, and they will also face arrest in due course.

The police spokesperson warned that anyone who obstructs their work will face consequences. They also mentioned that social media activities are being monitored and strict action will be taken against those who spread provocative speech or misleading news.

Bittu Bajrangi, also known as Raj Kumar, has been leading a cow vigilante group for the past three years. He operates as a fruit and vegetables trader at the Gazipur market and Dabua market in Faridabad.

Last month, the communal clash in Nuh, lasting 18 hours, resulted in the loss of five lives and left over 70 people injured. The violence quickly spread from Nuh to Gurugram and reached Badshahpur, which is located 40 km away.

During the clash, mobs went on a rampage, setting over a hundred vehicles ablaze and vandalizing them. Among the casualties were two security personnel and two civilians, including a cleric from the mosque.
