'Pakistan Zindabad' Slogan Row: Karnataka BJP Chief Requests Vice-President To Not Administer Oath To Congress Rajya Sabha MP

Karnataka BJP president Vijayendra Yediyurappa called for legal action against Congress leader Syed Naseer Hussain, who was recently elected to the Rajya Sabha with his supporters raising 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans.
Vijayendra also said that the BJP will request Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, who is also the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, not to administer the oath to Hussain until the trial of the case is over.
Calling it a case of sedition, Vijayendra asked for a police investigation in the "case of insulting the sovereignty of India." Those who raised pro-Pakistan slogans, Vijayendra called them "anti-India traitors."
He also called out Congress by saying, "If the Congress really has national commitment, it should show its loyalty to the country by not supporting the traitors in this case."
This comes after three individuals were apprehended for chanting "Pakistan Zindabad" slogans at the Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on 27 February.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Ilthaz from Delhi, Munavar from Bengaluru, and Mohammed Shafi from Haveri, Karnataka.
Bengaluru's Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), Shekhar T, confirmed that the arrests were made based on a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report and other evidence.
