Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed over 70,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youths via video-conferencing.

During his address to the appointees, PM Modi expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work as a government employee during the 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav'. He emphasized that the people of India are committed to transforming the country into a developed nation.

The Prime Minister highlighted the significance of the next 25 years for India's progress.

According to PM Modi, experts predict that India will be among the world's top three economies in the coming years. This projection implies a rise in employment opportunities and an increase in per capita income for citizens, he added.

Further, PM Modi criticized the previous government for causing significant damage to the banking sector.

PM Modi stated that India's banking sector is now considered one of the strongest in the world, but this was not the case nine years ago. He highlighted the massive destruction that occurred in the banking sector under the previous government.

He emphasized that digital transactions are now possible for the entire population, whereas phone banking was limited to a select few who had connections with a specific family. These individuals were able to secure loans worth billions of rupees that were never repaid, making it one of the biggest scams of the previous government.

The Rozgar Mela, a job fair, took place at 44 locations across the country. This event facilitated recruitment in both Central Government Departments and State Governments, as well as Union Territories that supported the initiative.

The newly recruited individuals, selected from all over the country, will be joining various Ministries and Departments of the Government.

These include the Department of Revenue, Department of Financial Services, Department of Posts, Department of School Education, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Central Public Sector Undertakings, Department of Water Resources, Department of Personnel & Training, and Ministry of Home Affairs, among others.

According to a statement from the PMO on Friday (July 21), the Rozgar Mela is expected to play a crucial role in generating more employment opportunities and empowering the youth to participate in national development.

On October 22 last year, PM Modi had launched the first phase of the Rozgar Mela, which kickstarted the campaign to provide 10 lakh government jobs.
