Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold three rallies in Uttar Pradesh today (26 May). At two of the targeted constituencies, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate is not from the BJP.

Instead, the PM will campaign for allies Apna Dal (Sonelal) and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) in Mirzapur and Ghosi respectively.

NDA candidate in Mirzapur is Union Minister of State Anupriya Patel from AD(S), who has held this constituency since 2011. Here, PM Modi will campaign at 11 am.

Then, he will go to Ghosi where the NDA candidate is SBSP chief Om Prakash Rajbhar's son Arvind Rajbhar. Notably, the BJP had lost this seat to Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in 2019.

Lastly, Modi will campaign at Bansgaon. This Scheduled Caste-reserved seat is held by BJP's Kamlesh Paswan since 2004 and he has been fielded by the BJP again.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president J P Nadda are focusing mainly on Bihar in their campaigns today.

PM Modi was in Bihar yesterday, where he campaigned in Patliputra, Karakata and Buxar. He lastly campaigned in UP's Ghazipur for BJP candidate Paras Nath Rai.
