Prime Minister Narendra Modi will spend 45 hours at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, spending most of his time meditating at the rock where Swami Vivekananda once mediated for three days.

Heavy security including 2,000 police personnel and several security agencies will be maintained to keep a tight vigil during the PM's programme.

Modi will meditate from the evening of 30 May to the evening (3 pm) of 1 June at Dhyan Mandapam, according to BJP leaders. The last phase of voting is to be held on 1 June.

However, the campaigning for it will end on 30 May evening, after which the PM will take a break from electoral politics for a spiritual sojourn.

Security arrangements at the rock memorial, boat jetty, helipad and the state guest house in Kanyakumari have already been checked by Tirunelveli range DIG Pravesh Kumar.

A trial of helicopter landing was also conducted at the helipad of the rock. The PM's core security team reached the venue by helicopter for trial.

Marine borders will be guarded by the Indian Coast Guard and Indian Navy as Kanniyakumari is the southernmost tip of our country at the tri-sea confluence.

PM Modi has been holding an average of three rallies each day and has given over 70 interviews to multiple media portals. He has cris-crossed the country for campaigning.

This will be a much-needed break for him. It is similar to what PM Modi did before the results of the 2019 elections. His photos of meditating in a holy cave near Kedarnath and dressed in a saffron robe went viral.
