Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday (13 October) morning conducted raids in three cities of Rajasthan in connection with the paper leak case.

Officials have reported that ED teams are conducting searches at the residences and offices of Dinesh Khodania in Jaipur and Dungarpur. Khodania is known to have close ties with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot

Simultaneous raids are underway at nine other locations in Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Dungarpur associated with Spardha Choudhary and Ashok Jain. Choudhary is a friend of Suresh Dhaka, who is currently evading authorities in the paper leak case. Jain is also reported to have close connections with a Congress leader.

ED sources reveal that RPSC member Babulal Katara and the alleged mastermind of the paper leak case, Bhupendra Saran, were recently taken into custody by the ED.

During questioning, Babulal Katara provided information about other individuals to the ED. Following this, Bhupendra Saran was placed on a three-day remand and subjected to intensive questioning.

The information gathered from the interrogations of Babulal Katara and Bhupendra Saran has been forwarded to the ED's Delhi office. A dedicated team has initiated an investigation into Dinesh Khodania, Ashok Jain, and Spardha Chaudhary based on this information.

The week-long investigation involves scrutinising their bank details, backgrounds, contacts, and their roles in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Additionally, the ED has obtained information about the contacts of numerous senior leaders in Civil Lines. Subsequently, teams from Delhi and Gujarat have been dispatched to conduct raids in Jaipur.

If evidence is found during the ED search, they may be issued notices to appear at the ED headquarters for questioning, according to Amar Ujala.

Meanwhile BJP MP and candidate for the upcoming assembly elections, Dr Kirodi Lal Meena claimed to know the location where crores in cash and heaps of gold are kept. He, along with the press, headed to that location.

Meena claimed that by staging a protest, the attention of would be drawn to that place, and black money would be seized. He alleged that the threads of the paper leak are also connected to the Chief Minister.

"Dinesh Khodaniya is close to Chief Minister Gehlot and keeps track of his black money. Spardha Chaudhary has contacts with Rahul Gandhi," Meena claimed

Currently, Spardha Chaudhary is the president of the women's wing of Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP). Meena also advised RLP president Hanuman Beniwal to immediately dismiss her, otherwise, it could damage his reputation as well.
