The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is set to kick off a 'unique' "Mai Bhi Kejriwal" campaign from 1 to 20 December, aiming to gather public opinions on whether Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should step down if arrested under an alleged "conspiracy by the BJP," reported NDTV.

Gopal Rai, addressing a press conference alongside Raghav Chadha, accused the BJP of orchestrating a plot to implicate Kejriwal in a "fake" liquor scam case, with the objective of undermining the Aam Aadmi Party.

The focus is to gauge public sentiment on whether Kejriwal should resign as Delhi Chief Minister if arrested.

Rai emphasised that there is a consensus among AAP MLAs and councilors, gathered through discussions with Kejriwal, that he should continue running the government even if detained.

Also, From 21 December to 24 December, the AAP plans to conduct 'Jan Samvad' in every ward of the city, engaging with the public to discuss the alleged liquor scam and the purported BJP conspiracy against Kejriwal.

Earlier this month, the Enforcement Directorate summoned Kejriwal for questioning in a money laundering case linked to an alleged excise policy scam.

However, Kejriwal opted not to appear before the Enforcement Directorate, challenging the notice's legitimacy and labeling it as "illegal and politically motivated."
