Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a "Veer Bal Diwas" event to honour the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh's two sons, has underscored the profound teachings of Sikh gurus, highlighting their role in inspiring Indians to contribute to the nation's progress and development.

PM Modi acknowledged that Sikh gurus have instilled values that encourage Indians to live for the glory of their land, as reported by The Telegraph.

He noted that the sacrifices made by the sons of Guru Gobind Singh are remembered not only in India but are also commemorated globally through events in countries like the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.

During his address, the Prime Minister emphasised the government's clear vision and roadmap to fulfill the aspirations of India's youth, regardless of their region or social background.

Directing his words to the youth, Modi urged them to prioritise their health, asserting that a fit individual is more likely to succeed in both career and life.

He advised maintaining a healthy diet, opting for digital detoxification, and steering clear of narcotics.

In a broader appeal, Modi called upon religious leaders and social organisations to initiate a movement against drug abuse, underlining the importance of collective efforts to combat this societal challenge.

The "Veer Bal Diwas" event, according to the Prime Minister, symbolises a commitment to safeguarding the essence of Indianness.

He paid heartfelt tributes to the two "Sahibzadas," emphasising their significance in Indian history.
