Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has confirmed his attendance for the inauguration of the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, scheduled for 14 February next year.

This follows an invitation from Swami Ishwarcharandas, Swami Brahmaviharidas, and the temple's board of directors, as announced in a BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha press statement and reported by The Times Of India.

During a meeting at the Prime Minister's residential office on Wednesday (27 December), Prime Minister Modi warmly accepted the invitation from BAPS.

The conversation at the meeting centered on the Abu Dhabi temple's role in fostering global harmony and aligning with Prime Minister Modi's aspirations for India's spiritual influence worldwide.

"The BAPS delegation commended the Prime Minister's health and his significant global achievements, particularly in strengthening ties with the UAE and other Middle Eastern nations. His leadership has been a source of pride and inspiration to Indians around the globe," the statement mentioned.

The Prime Minister also recognised the dedication of individuals involved in the Abu Dhabi BAPS Hindu Mandir project, including chairman Ashok Kotecha, vice-chairman Yogesh Mehta, and director Chirag Patel, acknowledging their work as a source of national pride.
